Eligibility

1.Entry is open to all golfers aged 18 years and over.

2.Golfers under 18 years of age may participate with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3.Employees of The Sands Torquay and their immediate family members are ineligible to compete in the Hole-in-One challenge.

 

How to Enter

4.Entrants must first register for the competition by submitting a valid email address and mobile phone number via the official Whack Billy & Win registration form.

5.After registering, entrants may attempt to hit the designated Billy Brownless target installed on the driving range at The Sands Torquay.

6.Driving range balls may be purchased from The Sands Pro Shop or directly from the driving range ball dispenser.

 

Golden Ticket Qualification

7.Each valid entry will go in the draw to be randomly drawn out for one (1) Golden Ticket into the Hole-in-One Challenge.

8.Golden Ticket holders earn the right to return to The Sands Torquay on Sunday, 19 April, 2026 to attend the Whack Billy & Win Hole-in-One event.

9.Golden Tickets are non-transferable, non-refundable, and have no cash value.

$100,000 Hole-in-One Challenge

10.A maximum of 100 golfers will be eligible to compete in the Hole-in-One challenge.

11.Each selected competitor will receive one (1) attempt only to record a hole-in-one.

12.The hole, teeing ground, distance, and playing conditions will be determined by the Promoter.

13.A hole-in-one must be achieved using a single stroke from the designated tee and verified by appointed officials of The Sands Torquay.

14.A successful hole-in-one will win the advertised prize of $100,000, subject to any applicable insurance terms and verification requirements.

Conduct & Safety

15.All participants must comply with all driving range rules, safety signage, and staff instructions at all times.

16.Unsafe behaviour, misuse of equipment, or failure to comply with instructions will result in immediate disqualification.

17.The Promoter reserves the right to refuse participation to any person acting unsafely or irresponsibly.

Verification & Media Use

18.The Promoter reserves the right to verify the authenticity of all entries and any submitted videos.

19.Altered, edited, staged, misleading, or non-genuine footage will be deemed invalid.

20.By entering the promotion, entrants grant the Promoter permission to use submitted videos, images, and participant likenesses for marketing and promotional purposes, without compensation.

General Conditions

21.The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, postpone, suspend, or modify the promotion or Hole-in-One event due to weather, safety, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond its control.

22.The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

23.Participation is undertaken entirely at the entrant’s own risk.
