3. The Background

The Sands, Torquay is located approximately 95km south west from Melbourne. The foreshore reserve is adjacent the site with residential housing and farmland surrounding the site to the north, east and west.

The Sands, Torquay commenced construction in January 2001. Just over two years later the club and course opened in July 1, 2004.
