Round 10 of 10, in the books!
What a beautiful day that was to close the books on a great year of Black Tee qualifying with light winds sweeping over the course and the sun out displaying how great condition the course is in. Some great rounds today by a host of low markers with 4 of the top 5 scores belonging to people with handicaps lower than 2.
Winner for the day was the ever consistent Dean Kitchin (+1) recording a great score of 36 points to fend off Peter Brooks (1) also on 36 points. Well done to both guys for recording great rounds and finishing off the season strongly. Further back in third place was member guest Chris Chapman (Scr) with a great round of 34 points.
Long drive on the 16th hole went to Cam Mernone with a ball that was well over 300m. Although Harrison Thompson (11) could only manage 24 points for the day he was dialled in on the 5th hole, taking out the Nearest the Pin with a pin seeking strike ending 9m from the hole
Black tee series is back for 2016-2017, with the winner last year receiving $500 voucher we look to grown it even further this year and play for a bigger prize pool. Members, get involved and play your course at its toughest maximum distance and take the test as it’s a great build up leading into the club championships. While you’re at it why not get your guest involved and show off your course in its finest condition? To all guests we look forward to having you back and hopefully get you involved for the entire series. The concept is still the same as previous years with weekly comp prizes up for grabs.
